The Chambers beneath the Sphinx
We will begin with a description of our explorations near the Sphinx, which we also passed while moving through a long, straight corridor. Beneath the great lion-man statue lie two chambers, the existence of which is largely kept secret by Egyptologists, although they have been scientifically proven several times (see page 182) in the years 1977 and 1978, and especially in 1992 and 1993. With acoustical tests, Dr. Schochs team determined that there is a large hollow room beneath the Sphinx (see photo). In professional circles there are several pictures and plans in circulation of the two chambers to be found between the Sphinx and the Pyramids.
From the first smaller chamber a corridor leads at very steep angle further down below. There is found the second larger chamber, which was empty. From this point three passageways continue on, only one of which leads beneath the ground of the pyramid district. We cannot say with any certainty where the other two corridors lead, the one probably goes to the pyramids. This route through these two chambers is one of what are apparently three different entrances, and not, as is often speculated, the Hall of Records itself. This too lies in the general area beneath the Sphinx, but much further down.
Below are two illustrations showing cross-sections of the Sphinx, both from the side and from above, each containing all known, newly discovered as well as some chambers and passages, the existence of which has been proven, but for which official acknowledgement has yet to be given. Why haven all these sensational discoveries not yet been made known to the public so that they can be discussed by both Egyptologists and the scientific community?
